Maconaquah Varsity vs Eastern Jr & Sr High School (64 - 86) Loss Maconaquah boys opened at Eastern on Thursday night. It was a tough first quarter for the Braves. After the first quarter Eastern won the rest of the game, 62-53. We play at Northwestern, tonight (Friday). Coach Burrus Quotes: "The team came out and really fought last night. Eastern had more experience and an all-state guard in Colton Lindsay. Brody Kubly guarded him pretty well the 2nd half. I thought Jack Gochenour kept coming at Eastern to score 25 points. Caiden Richards had 15 points and 9 rebounds and didn't play much in the 4th because of cramping. Tristyn Herschberger came up with 9 rebounds as well. Levi Merritt came in and had 4 steals, 4 rebounds, and 6 points. Tyler Adams came in and had 2 assists, an offensive rebound that he scored. Marcell Sims played his first varsity action and scored 4 points, 2 steals, 1 assist, and one offensive rebound. Stick with these guys. They will continue to develop throughout the season.
