Varsity vs Wabash High School Boys Basketball lost at Wabash in TRC play. The Braves dropped to 0-3 overall, and 0-2 in the TRC. Coach Burrus Quotes: "I thought our team took another step toward success at Wabash. We were down 24-15 at halftime. We really dug in and played a great 3rd quarter to get the lead. We won the 2nd half 26-21 but we did not convert enough chances during crunch time. We had 15 steals in the game but we did not convert enough of these into points. I still left the game feeling like we had done a lot of good things. We held Wabash to 45 points in an up-tempo game. We struggled to score but Wabash is very good in their half-court man defense. I thought we fought hard on the boards, as well. Jack Gochenour had 8 steals in this game. Treson Ambrose had 6 rebounds which was a major improvement for him. Jack Gochenour has started the year averaging 24.6 per game after 3 games. That is really incredible with this being his first varsity starts. Caiden Richards has established himself as a determined scorer, as well. We are continuing to see the whole team work hard at improving their games. We Have a tough stretch here with Logan, Saturday. Oak Hill is coming up as a reschedule. Then, the county tournament. We are excited to keep playing, and improving."
