Lady Braves Come Up Short
By Ray Davis | Jan 8, 2026 9:36 AM
The Lady Braves traveled to Tippecanoe Valley and took on a very good Valley team (has been ranked in 3A earlier). Valley won 55-32. Valley used a physical defense to keep the Braves from where they wanted to start their offense for most of the night. After the 1st quarter, Valley had 17-8 lead, but the Braves battled back to a 19-17 score but had a couple trips that they didn't score, that led to 5 points by Valley. At halftime, Valley led 25-17. In the 2nd half, Valley extended their defense and pressure to keep the Lady Braves off balance for most of the half. The Braves kept battling but just couldn't get anything to fall for them in the shooting. Coach Davis: "Valley did a good job of forcing us out of our offensive flow for the night. We will learn from this game and move forward. We have done this after the two other losses we had earlier in the season. I'm positive that the Lady Braves will come out on Saturday night against Wabash and play well. Our players will get back in the gym the next couple of days and keep building towards our goals for the season". Scoring on the night, Ireland Kile led all scores with 16 points, Delaney Betzner had 10 points and Aubrey Stoll finished with 6 points. The Lady Braves host TRC opponent Wabash on Saturday night. At the completion of the JV game, the Lady Braves are honoring all Lady Brave Alumni players and coaches. Looking for a big crowd to cheer on the present players and to show our appreciation to the alumni players and coaches.
