Lady Braves Shine in Victory

On Saturday night, the Lady Braves celebrated past players and coaches, showcasing their own skills with a dominant 67-18 win over Wabash, a TRC opponent. First Quarter Success: The Lady Braves started strong, executing well on both ends of the court. Addie Maiben led the offense, scoring 15 points with the team contributing 7 assists. They shot 5-14 from the 3-point line, ending the quarter with a 26-9 lead. Second Quarter Dominance: Kasey Murry and Delaney Betzner found their rhythm from outside, hitting three 3-pointers to secure a 12-4 quarter win. The defense was formidable, restricting Wabash to 1-6 shooting and forcing 10 turnovers. Third Quarter Teamwork: Five players contributed to the score, with Ireland Kile scoring 8 of her 15 points. The defense held Wabash to just 3 points, allowing only 3 field goal attempts. Fourth Quarter Closure: The Lady Braves' defense limited Wabash to 2 points. Offensively, Kasey Murry added 7 of her 15 points, and the team shot 4-8 from the floor and 3-4 from the free throw line. Game Stats: Addie Maiben: 20 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals Ireland Kile: 15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals Kasey Murry: 15 points, 3 steals Delaney Betzner: 8 points, 4 assists, 6 deflections Aubrey Kaiser: 6 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals Aubrey Stoll: 2 points, 4 assists, 6 steals Eliot Fuller: 1 point, 1 assist In the JV game, the Lady Braves narrowly lost to Wabash 21-22. Brenna McClain led with 7 points, while Eliot Fuller and Noa Lizcano added 5 points each. Isabel Fruth and Sarah Klepinger scored 2 points each. Between games, approximately 30 alumni players and coaches were honored for their contributions to the program. Acknowledgments: The Lady Braves extend gratitude to Brave Nation for their support, the Maconaquah Pep Band, student section, and cheerleaders for their energy. The atmosphere was exceptional.
