Lady Braves Honor Seniors and Exchange Students

The Lady Braves celebrated their senior players and managers, alongside exchange students, before their game against Lewis Cass. The team includes four senior players: Addie Maiben, Averie Maiben, Gabby Griffis, and Eleanor Boshears, as well as two senior managers, Leah Boggs and Kira Ropes. Additionally, the program features three exchange students: manager Nekane Hernandez, Shanne Vermeer, and Noa Lizcano Lopez. The program extends its gratitude to them for their leadership and contributions. Facing a formidable Lewis Cass team with a 19-3 record and a six-game winning streak, the Lady Braves demonstrated strong defensive skills. Although the Lady Braves struggled offensively, their defense kept the game competitive. Senior Addie Maiben excelled in the fourth quarter, but Lewis Cass maintained their lead with effective free-throw shooting, going 10-15 in the final quarter and 13-18 overall. The Lady Braves shot 12-16 from the free-throw line but were unable to match their opponent's two-point field goals. Game Stats: Addie Maiben: 9 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal Delaney Betzner: 6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals Ireland Kile: 5 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals, 2 blocks Kasey Murry: 5 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 blocks Aubrey Stoll: 4 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 steals, 8 deflections Aubrey Kaiser: 2 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist The Lady Braves concluded the regular season with a record of 17-4 overall and 6-3 in the TRC. This marks one of the most successful seasons, with only two other seasons having more wins (1986-87 & 1987-88). The Lady Braves will seek to continue their success in the Western Sectional against West Lafayette on Wednesday night at 7:30 pm
