8th Grade Middle School vs Lewis Cass Jr-Sr High School (35 - 9) Win 4-0 and a county sweep is a good way to cap off any week. Each game these ladies have gotten better and better. It was another great win tonight playing team basketball. We had exceptional ball movement to find the open man, rebounded well, and finished on fast breaks. As a coach I could not be more proud of these ladies and how they have been rallying around one another and trusting one another-- making the extra pass to work it for our best shot in the possession. The effort was 100% all night. They currently possess greater skill and basketball understanding through hard work and experience than we have amassed to date. I say this only to set up the fact that we rendered them scoreless in the second quarter with the first half being only 4-12. We made some defensive and offensive adjustments and I am proud and encouraged at how our girls were able to comprehend and execute them. I am happy they are trusting in the process and getting better together each game. I can't wait until they start to play more loose, relaxed, natural, and confident. We will keep working to increase our offensive proficiency and take care of the basketball more soundly.
