7th Grade Middle School vs Wabash High School (22 - 18) Win Down by 12 the 7th grade girls mounted a monumental comeback through a great team effort which held the Apaches scoreless for just over a half. We did a great job on defense through communicating where the shooters were, anticipating reversals, clogging up the driving lanes, and rebounding tenaciously. This was our best game so far with ball movement by finding the open player after attacking the paint. I am proud of our focus, effort, hustle, and attitude. We would like to lift up Alexis Lynn from Wabash who sustained a knee injury and had to leave the game. Wishing her a full recovery. Both teams were scrapping for rebounds and loose balls but we applied enough pressure to force turnovers and convert those into points. Rebounding was key tonight with Katrina and Bailie combining for over 15. Hayden and Whitney were able to come up big for the team with defensive stops. Assists and hustle plays from Scarlett and Ellie were just what the team needed to gain separation from the Apaches. Whitney Barnes- 15pts Katrina Cardwell- 10pts Bailei Boggs- 9pts Scarlett Daugherty- 2 pts Both teams are home Saturday as we host the County Tournament starting at 9am verse Peru.
