8th Grade Middle School vs Manchester Jr High (31 - 24) Win These ladies came out strong in the first quarter 13-9. We finished strong at the basket and hit the shots we needed to down the stretch. We travel to face Whitko on Thursday with a 6:30pm start time. We lost our composure in spurts turning the ball over and gave up too many fast break layups to stay within reach in the final 2 minutes. It was great to see the growth of our squad, being mostly first and second year players, throughout the season and how we came together defensively. Over the course of this season we held teams to 10 scoreless quarters, 9 single basket quarters, and 12 two basket quarters. I loved watching your hustle, resilience, tenacity, and relentless pursuit of success night after night in practice and in games. Thank you Alana (Leadership), Evelyn (Courage), Hattie (Team Spirit), Adela (Selflessness), Kenzie (Consistency), Kait (Enthusiasm), Addi (Intentness), Lenix (Compassion), and Lyric (Cooperation). I hope you all continue to work and improve upon on your offensive skills individually and as a group throughout the off-season but in whatever you do, do it for His glory.
