Maconaquah Schools

Maconaquah Baseball defeated Marion 10-6. Deven Mitchell got the win on the mound for the Braves. He pitched 4 inninings giving up 5 runs (2 earned) while striking out 8 hitters. CJ Haney came in relief pitching 3 innings while earning the save. CJ struck out 5 hitters while allowing 1 earned run. Offensivley, Jack Gochenhour drove in two runs with a big 2 out single in the 4th. Marcell Sims also had two RBI on a single. Deven Mitchell and Damion Torres also added singles for the Braves. "I feel like the game went back and forth and we were able to maintain our poise at the plate and on defense. The boys did a great job of playing team ball. We are happy with the win." The Braves are back in action Friday night at home vs Elwood.
