Facing off against the elite talent of the Three Rivers Conference (TRC), the Maconaquah Lady Braves track and field team delivered a series of strong performances on Friday, May 8, 2026. The Lady Braves demonstrated remarkable versatility, scoring points across sprints, distance, hurdles, and field events in a highly competitive conference field. Sprint and Hurdle Success Molly Berryman proved to be one of the fastest athletes in the conference, advancing through a crowded field to become a finalist in both of her individual sprinting events. Berryman secured a 7th place finish in the 100-meter dash and a 5th place finish in the 200-meter dash. In the hurdles, the Lady Braves put two athletes on the podium in the 100-meter event. Delight Pier captured 5th place, while Ani Osornio battled to an 8th place finish. Pier continued her individual success later in the evening, securing a strong 4th place in the 300-meter hurdles. Distance and Field Highlights The distance crew was led by Chloe Jordan, who ran a strategic and gritty race in the 1600-meter run to take home 4th place. In the 400-meter dash, Zoie Laber added to the team’s point total with an 8th place finish. In the field events, Delight Pier showcased her multi-event athleticism in the pole vault. Navigating high-pressure attempts, Pier cleared the bar to secure 4th place in the conference, marking her as one of the top vertical jumpers in the area. Relay Coordination Maconaquah’s relay teams proved their chemistry and endurance against a deep TRC roster: 4x400 Meter Relay (4th Place): The team of Chloe Jordan, Delight Pier, Isabel Fruth, and Zoie Laber delivered a standout performance, narrowly missing the podium's top three. 4x100 Meter Relay (7th Place): The quartet of Jalynn Sullivan, Ani Osornio, Evelyn Hanson, and Molly Berryman executed clean handoffs to score for the Braves. 4x800 Meter Relay (7th Place): Chloe Jordan, Zoie Laber, Macie McManus, and June Schrock combined for a solid performance in the longest relay of the night. The Lady Braves will now shift their focus to the post-season as they prepare for sectional competition.
