The Maconaquah Lady Braves track and field team brought incredible energy, speed, and school spirit to the IHSAA Sectional 13 Championships at Kokomo High School on Tuesday, May 19, 2026! Competing against top regional talent, our athletes left it all on the track. The highlight of the night came from the spectacular performance of our 4x400 meter relay team. The powerhouse squad of Delight Pier, Molly Berryman, Chloe Jordan, and Zoie Laber clocked a blazing time of 4:20.55 to secure a 3rd-place finish, officially punching their tickets to the Regional Championships next week! In an exciting post-sectional update, Molly Berryman has also been called up to compete individually at Regionals in the 100-meter dash! This individual call-up caps off a fantastic sectional performance where Molly showed elite speed by placing 5th overall in the 100m finals with a time of 13.28. Joining her on the individual podium was Chloe Jordan, who captured 6th place in the 1600-meter run with a gritty time of 6:02.69, and Macie McManus, who claimed 5th place in the grueling 3200-meter run, crossing the line at 13:48.77. Delight Pier also added points on the hurdles, taking 7th place in the 100-meter hurdles final, while Aleahya Thoden raced to an 8th-place finish in the 400-meter dash. Furthermore, our 4x100 meter relay team took 7th, and the 4x800 meter relay team battled to a 4th-place finish. Our regional qualifiers will travel back out to compete at the Regionals on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Let’s fill the stands with red and blue, pack our school spirit, and cheer on Delight, Molly, Chloe, and Zoie as they represent Maconaquah at the next level—Go Braves!
