Boys Track & Field Clinch 2nd at Sectionals; Tarrh Breaks School Record

On Thursday, May 21, the Braves traveled to Kokomo High School for sectionals. In near-perfect meet conditions, the Braves had an impressive showing, bringing home a second-place finish. Beyond the massive team success, the day was packed with standout individual milestones—including a wave of new personal records, a new school record, seven regional qualifiers, a relay sectional title, and an individual sectional champion! New School Record: Nolan Tarrh made history in the 300m hurdles. He clocked a blistering 40.34 seconds, breaking the previous school record of 40.42 held by Brenner Stage since 2011. Sectional Champions: Kaden Hanson defended his dominance in the pole vault, taking the sectional win with a top vault of 12-6. The team of Nolan Tarrh, Jaxon Sullivan, Ethan Lee, and Joel Loshnowsky captured the sectional title, sealing their victory with a new personal record of 3:31.62. Regional Qualifiers: Along with Hanson and the 4x4 team, four athletes punched their ticket to regionals on Tuesday night. Jaxson Sullivan will run the 100m Dash and the 200m Dash, Joel Loshnowsky will run the 400m Dash, Abel Robison will run the 3200m Run, and Nolan Tarrh will compete in the 110m Hurdles and 300m Hurdles. Other Scoring Finishes: Ethan Lee: 5th in the 400m Dash with a PR of 52.98 Abel Robison: 5th in the 1600m Run with a time of 4:54.86 Tre Rader: 8th in the 110 Hurdles with a time of 18.43 Team of Tarrh, Robinson, Rader, and Stambaugh: 7th in the 4x100m Relay with a time of 46.81 Team of Robison, Merritt, Collins, and Loshnowsky: 5th in the 4x800m Relay with a time of 9:10.38 Jaxon Sullivan: 4th in High Jump with a jump of 6'0" Dawson Newnes: 6th in Discus with a throw of 125'10" The regional qualifiers will travel to Jefferson High School in Lafayette on Thursday, May 28. The boys are also wishing a good luck to the Lady Braves competing on Tuesday, May 26!
