7th VB 7th Grade vs Southwood Jr-Sr High School (1 - 2) Loss Our 7th Grade Lady Braves hosted Southwood Middle School for our third match of the season. Southwood has a reputation for having an excellent volleyball program, but our girls came ready to show that Maconaquah is not a team to overlook! The girls absolutely showed out in that first set, battling point for point and coming away with a 25-23 win! It was a great reminder of what this team is capable of, and proved that we can compete with strong programs when we play with confidence and fight! We fell short in the second set, but the girls didn't give up. They battled all the way through the third set and came just a few points shy of pulling out the match. We may not have gotten the win tonight, but this team made a STATEMENT. The confidence is building, the improvement is showing, the kinks in the 6:2 rotation are smoothing out. I couldn't be prouder of how far they've come.
