Maconaquah Schools

The Maconaquah Lady Braves participated in the Leaning Tree Invitational at Leaning Tree Golf Course on September 10, 2026. As she has done throughout the season, senior captain Aubrey Stoll led the Braves in scoring with a 43. Stoll had an up-and-down round, opening with a bogey before bouncing back with a par on her second hole. That pattern continued throughout much of the round as she struggled to find consistency but continued to battle. After bogeying the eighth hole, Stoll finished strong by making par from the fringe on her final hole. Her 43 earned her second place overall in the event. Junior Delaney Farnham could never quite find her rhythm. She opened the tournament with a long drive on the par-5 eighth hole, but her third shot caught a tree and led to a difficult hole. Much like Stoll, Farnham struggled to string good shots together. Strong shots were often followed by bad breaks, while good chips were sometimes followed by missed putts. She finished with a 61, good enough for second on the team. Sophomore Brina Smith also had difficulty finding her groove. Smith struggled to consistently find fairways off the tee, leaving herself with challenging second shots and difficult situations around the green. She continued to battle throughout the round and finished with a 65, third on the team. With only three golfers available, Maconaquah was unable to post a team score. Tippecanoe Valley won the invitational, with Kokomo finishing second. North Miami was also unable to field a complete team due to illness. The Lady Braves return to action Saturday at the TRC Tournament. Thank you to all the parents, family members, and friends who continue to come out and support the Lady Braves.
