The Maconaquah Braves cross country team brought the intensity to their home course, delivering standout performances, ribbon-earning efforts, and a special celebration honoring senior leadership on familiar terrain. Boys’ Division: Robinson Claims Top 15 Finish, Bowman Honored on Senior Day Leading the charge for the Braves, sophomore Abel Robinson put together a dominant performance, crossing the finish line in a swift 17:30. Robinson’s effort earned him a 15th-place finish overall and a ribbon on his home course. The meet was also an emotional milestone for senior Jacob Bowman, who was recognized and celebrated for his dedication, leadership, and accomplishments throughout his high school career. Bowman capped off the day by turning in a strong performance of his own, stopping the clock at 20:59. Freshman Cory Hayes delivered a solid run to cross in 23:00, with junior Hunter Jenkins finishing right on his heels at 23:12. Junior Auggie Higgins rounded out the pack just a single second later with a time of 23:13. Girls’ Division: Schrock and Higgins Lead the Charge On the ladies' side, sophomore June Schrock paced the team on her home turf, running a remarkably strong 25:18. Sophomore Ellie Higgins showed persistent drive throughout the race, powering through to complete the course in 27:44.
