NEW PRAIRIE, IN – The Maconaquah Braves cross country team faced down severe weather and treacherous footing at the prestigious New Prairie Invitational, pushing through lengthy storm delays and a heavily saturated course to deliver gritty performances across the board. Men’s Division: Robison Leads Braves Through the Mud Despite a rain-soaked course and delayed start times, sophomore Abel Robison led the charge for the Braves in the men's race. Navigating the slick, muddy turns with poise, Robison secured a top-35 finish in a deep field, crossing the line in a swift 18:19. Senior Jacob Bowman turned in a strong, steady performance on the tough terrain, finishing in 23:00. He was followed closely by junior Auggie Higgins, who logged a 23:06. Junior Hunter Jenkins and freshman Cory Hayes rounded out the team effort, stopping the clock at 24:30 and 24:37, respectively. Lady Braves Set to Return Following Injury Pause The Lady Braves were sidelined at New Prairie due to injuries, leaving them without competitors on the line this week. However, the team's spirits remain high as key runners are set to make their return to competition on Tuesday, September 22.
