7th VB 7th Grade vs Kokomo High School Win The Lady Braves were back at home tonight, taking on Kokomo — and after a tough match last week, these girls were ready to remind everyone what they're capable of! Final Score: Set 1: Maconaquah 27 — Kokomo 25 Set 2: Maconaquah 25 — Kokomo 16 That first set was a BATTLE! It started out slow, and honestly, the girls looked like they were treading through mud — flailing their arms and hoping to make contact with the ball. But somewhere along the way, you could almost see the moment they remembered their potential. And then… THEY TOOK OFF! The first set stayed within just a few points for practically the entire game, but the girls kept hustling, recovering, and making some of the most unexpected saves I've seen from them all season. Balls that looked completely out of reach somehow came back into play! They fought all the way to a 27–25 win! And then they came out in the second set and finished the job. Winning 25–16 after such a tight first set says a LOT about the effort, determination, and momentum these girls found tonight. After a tough loss last week, watching them bounce back like this makes me incredibly proud. They didn't let one tough night define them — they came back ready to work.
