Maconaquah Schools

Following the lead of the 7th grade the 8th grade won in 2 sets. The 8th grade volleyball team served, volleyed and persisted to win against Kokomo 25-20 and 25-21. They took advantage of free balls to return more offensive attacks with Dena Salazar making 4 kills, Adela Houlihan 3 and Lenix Fuller 2. Hattie Hatcher made 8 set assists to keep the offense ready. Defensively the team covered the court and made passes to keep the ball off the floor. Ruby Kintner took on a new role as libero and made 7 receptions and 7 digs, Adela made 7 receptions with 2 digs and Ellie Chilcutt made 3 digs. Keeping the team moving forward with points Hattie Serves 12 points with 4 aces, Ruby had 6 with 2 aces, Ellie and Eden Davis had 4 service points. The teams will return to the court playing at Wabash on Tuesday.
