Maconaquah Schools

7th VB 7th Grade vs Rochester Community Middle School Win The Lady Braves were back on their home court tonight, taking on Rochester — and they came away with a two-set victory! Final Score: Set 1: Maconaquah 27 — Rochester 25 Set 2: Maconaquah 25 — Rochester 12 Tonight was another great example of how much this team continues to grow. We saw so many moments of improvement that made me proud as a coach! We were talking! Girls were calling the ball and communicating with each other instead of waiting for someone else to make the play. We were controlling our passes! We're starting to see more intentional, playable passes that allow us to keep the rally going. We were playing with purpose! Instead of simply sending the ball back, the girls were intentionally placing it — using tips, attacks, and spikes to find open areas of the court. Those are the moments that show me the work they've been putting in shows up when it matters. The first set was another battle toward the end, taking us all the way to 27–25, but the girls came back in the second set and really found their rhythm, finishing 25–12! I'm so proud of the way this group continues to learn, grow, and become more confident in their abilities. We're not the same team we were at the beginning of the season — and it's so much fun watching that transformation happen. ANOTHER WIN FOR THE LADY BRAVES! BACK AT IT AGAIN TONIGHT!
