Senior Daisy Williams proved how consistent she is as she shot a second consecutive even par 36 Tuesday evening at Rock Hollow Golf Course. Her round included 3 birdies including one on the challenging par 3 third hole. This 36 came after a 36 Monday evening at Kokomo Country Club. For the season so far, Daisy is averaging a fantastic 36.5 scoring average per nine holes. Her 36 was good enough to win medalist honors for the second time in two matches. Sophomore Aubrey Stoll continued her stellar play by finishing with a 43 on the evening. Aubrey’s long game, which has always been excellent, has become more consistent, but her mental game was as impressive last night. After driving into some trees, Aubrey took a moment to determine how to best approach the rest of the hole and wisely played a bump and run onto the green and save bogey. Senior Finley Dobbs did not have the warm she wanted as she was not hitting the ball as she wanted, but the senior showed maturity by playing smart and with in herself when she got onto the course. This led to a final score of 48 which included a birdie on the par 3 fourth hole. Sophomore Delaney Duke finished with a competitive best 54 on the evening. Delaney found confidence in her driver again and used her long tee shots to her advantage playing the first four holes at four over par. She got into a bit of trouble toward the end of the round, but was able to finish with a career best. Sophomore Emma Bond started her round well, had some trouble on the par 5 third hole, but then bounced right back on hole 4. Her finally tally of 59 was her third sub 60 nine of the season already. Maconaquah won the match versus Southwood 181 to 215. Each team only had three junior varsity players so there is no final match tally. Freshman Ella Hoeksema lead scoring in the JV match with a 41 (for 6 holes). Ella continues to seek consistency in her long game, but her short game has improved tremendously. Following Ella was freshman Delaney Farnham with a 43 (6 holes). Delaney, who is new to the game, gets better each and every day. Junior Jade Christopher rounded out scoring for the JV team with a 46. Jade had trouble getting off the tee on Tuesday, but did well getting out of trouble. The Lady Braves are back in action on Thursday as they host Wabash at Rock Hollow. As always the Lady Braves appreciate the support of the parents, family and friends that come out and support the team each match. PHOTO: Freshman Elle Hoeksema prepares to tee off on Number 2
