Maconaquah boys soccer took their first loss of the season saturday vs Eastbrook. In a very physical game which saw two yellow cards given to Eastbrook players and 3 PK attempts for Maconaquah, the ball didn't bounce in the Braves favor. Eastbrook was able to score both of their goals off physical plays with the ball in or nearly in the hands of the Maconaquah Goalie. They played a very physical game of soccer. The Braves had multiple chances to score, including 3 penalty kick opportunities. On two of the three attempts, the Eastbrook goalie guessed correctly and blocked two very well placed balls. The third attempt by Kevin Nord found the net. However, the Braves just couldn't get by the Eastbrook goalie on the other attempts to even up the score. Maconaquah is now 4-1 on the season with two very tough matchups coming. Tuesday Sept 3rd, the boys will play Oak Hill and Saturday Sept 7th, will face Northwestern who is new to the TRC this year.
