The Maconaquah Boys Soccer finished a very good regular season in disappointing fashion with a loss to Peru 0-1. The Braves and Tigers battled much of the game evenly with the deciding goal coming from Peru on a corner kick by Landon Crowe from Peru. Crowe bent the ball into the top corner of the goal with a shot that no one could have stopped. The Braves battled after that goal, but could never quite elude the Tiger defense. With this loss, the Braves finished the season 11-4-1 and turn their attention to Sectionals which begin next week on the Braves home turf. On Monday, Peru will face off against Wabash, while Tuesday will see Maconaquah vs Eastern, then Northwestern vs Tippy Valley. Rochester received a bye in the first round. The second round games will take place on Wednesday starting at 5 pm and the sectional championship will be held on Saturday at 7 pm.
