The Lady Braves volleyball season came to and end in Peru Tuesday as we fall to West Lafayette in the opening round of sectional play in three sets 10-25, 12-25, 14-25. The Braves finish the season 19-12, 5-4 TRC. Our serve receive was a problem against the Red Devils and we struggled to put the ball away on offense. Credit to West Lafayette, our problems passing and on defense were due mostly to the high caliber of serve and attack from our opponents. The Ladies in blue could not stave off scoring runs by our opponents as their serves had us passing consistently out of system. This had us either setting the outside or free balling the ball over the net. It's hard to beat a quality team such as West Lafayette like that. It's been a rewarding season and our girls grew as a team and as people, and we were able to win a few matches along the way. Our five seniors go out strong and leave their mark on Maconaquah volleyball and our underclassmen will learn from this experience and use it to improve in the future.
