Lady Braves move to 3-0 overall

The Lady Braves move their record to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the TRC with a 50-37 win over Manchester. The first quarter started out with both teams hitting shots and taking advantage of some costly turnovers. Manchester outscored the Braves 12-11 in the quarter. In the 2nd quarter, the Lady Braves turned up their defense and held Manchester to just 6 points in the quarter and took a 21 -18 lead at halftime. The Lady Braves continued their defensive strength in the 3rd quarter and held Manchester again to single digits (7 points) while the Lady Braves scored 14 points in the quarter. Taking a 35-25 lead in into the 4th quarter. In the 4th quarter, the Lady Braves outscored Manchester 15-12, with the help of going 8-10 from the free-throw line to take the home victory. For the game, the Lady Braves went 13-16 from the free-throw line, had 11 assists and out rebounded Manchester. The Lady Braves also had 13 steals that turned into 17 turnovers for Manchester. The Lady Braves were led by Ireland Kile's 24 points and 7 rebounds, Aubrey Stoll had 8 points, 8 rebounds and 6 steals in the contest. Delaney Betzner ended the game with 8 points and 5 rebounds. The Lady Braves got a spark off the bench from Kasey Murry and Averie Maiben combining for 7 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assist. The Lady Braves next game is Saturday, November 23 as they travel to TRC opponent, Rochester. Varsity game only with a 7:00 pm tipoff.
