Maconaquah Schools

The 8th grade boy's basketball team brought home the "W" on the first game of the season, defeating Wabash 43-26. The game was highlighted by the Braves' pesky defense and outside shooting. A great team effort was enough to beat the Apaches tonight, but the game showed several areas where the Braves can improve heading into the long season. Scoring for the Braves: Levi Merritt with 13 points, Evan Zeiser with 10 points, Jaxon Cole with 7 points, Tre Rader with 6 points, Caleb Barnett with 3 points, and Bentley Miller and Colt Myers each adding 2 points a piece. The Braves shot 44% from beyond the arc. No days off as the Braves return to action in Greentown tonight facing the Eastern Comets.
