Slow Shooting Start for Lady Braves

The Lady Braves traveled to Rochester to take on a very experienced Lady Zebra team and came away with their first loss of the season 35-28. They Lady Braves started out slow in the scoring, shooting just 2-10 in the first quarter. After the first quarter the Lady Z's had a 11-6 lead. In the 2nd quarter the shooting struggles continued for the Lady Braves going 2-11 to go down 22-10 at halftime. The second half saw the Lady Braves defense pick up and their shots started to fall. The Lady Braves held Rochester to just 13 points in the half, and outscoring them with 18 points of their own. The Lady Braves were led in scoring by Addie Maiben who hit 5 3pt shots on the night for 15 points. Delaney Betzner had 6 points. Ireland Kile led the team in rebounds with 6 boards and Addie Maiben, Kasey Murry and Delaney Betzner all had 5 boards a piece. Delaney Betzner led the team with 4 assist and 3 steals. The Lady Braves are back on the road this Wednesday at North Miami for 7:00 pm tip off.
