Lady Braves Drop A Road Game

The Lady Braves traveled to Denver, Indiana on Wednesday (11/27) and took a 39 - 44 loss. The Lady Braves came out offensively strong and put up 13 points in the 1st quarter behind 3 of 7 shooting from behind the arch. They took a 13-11 lead going into the 2nd quarter. In the 2nd quarter both teams struggled on offense, mainly because both teams tighten up the defense. The Lady Brave were 2-16 from the field shooting put still out scored North Miami 5-2 to take a 18-13 lead into the locker room at halftime. In the 2nd half, the Warriors took advantage of being at home and shot the ball better, going 11-21 from the field (which included them going 8-9 in the 4th quarter). The Lady Braves went 8-21 in the 2nd half. The difference in the game came down to the free throws. North Miami went 9-15 from the charity stripe while the Lady Brave went 4-4 for the game. The Lady Braves were led by Ireland Kile with 13 points and 8 rebounds, Aubrey Stoll coming back after missing a game because of illness had 11 points and 4 rebounds. Addie Maiben had 8 points and 2 rebounds on the night. The Lady Brave are home, tomorrow (12/3) against TRC foe, Northfield. Varsity only game, tip off is set for 6:30 pm.
