Girls Swimming & Diving defeats Carroll

The girls had their season opener on Monday and did not disappoint. To start the night off, Loshnowsky, Duke, Jones, and Laber won the 200 medley relay with Collins, Schoettmer, McManus, and Berryman coming in 2nd. The 200 free was a 1,2,3 finish from Chloe Jordan, Sophia Hoffman, and Maddie Brennan. In the IM, Sam Jones, Loshnowsky, and Schoettmer placed 1,2,3. The 50 free had Zoie Laber placing 1st followed by Kyndal Collins in 2nd. Delaney Farnham placed 4th. Diving finished with a 1st place finish from freshman Macie McManus with Aubrey McClain coming in 3rd and Violet Shively coming in 4th. In the butterfly, Sam Jones, Delaney Duke, and Molly Berryman placed 1,2,3. The 100 freestyle was a 1st place finish from Zoie Laber and 2nd Place finish from Macie McManus. The 500 free earned Chloe Jordan the 1st place position with freshman Sophia Hoffman coming in 3rd and Maddie Brennan coming in 4th. In the 200 freestyle relay, Schoettmer Jones, McManus, and Jordan came in 1st followed by New, Heath, Brennan, and Hoffman coming in 2nd. Backstroke with another 1,2,3 finish from Loshnowsky, Collins, and Berryman. Delaney Duke, Shay Schoettmer, and Molly Heath also came out with 1,2,3 finishes in the breaststroke. The 400 free relay earned Jordan, Loshnowsky, Duke, Laber a first place finish and Collins, Brennan, Sebastianelli, and Berryman in 2nd place. The Golden Goggle went to Samantha Jones. Sam has been working hard this season and has worked her way back from an injury that kept her out last year. Sam had a PR in her leg of the medley relay and showed consistency in her times from two years ago. I am very excited to see where this season will take her!
