I thought we battled through some cold shooting and found other ways to score besides shooting 3's. Sometimes 3's not going in will force you to play closer to the basket. I believe that happened in this game. It did help that Landon Adams hit 3 big 3's in the 2nd quarter. We put up 33 points in that quarter. When you give up 17 points in a quarter and outscore them by 16, you have put up some big numbers. I liked our intensity on defense. Our kids were ready to play. I thought our scrimmage against Homestead really helped us in our first game. They were a big challenge for us so it gave us a tough test early. North Miami posed a lot of problems. They were playing at home. They have a lot of size in their starting lineup. They had a great start by playing very well in their first game. I also liked how our younger kids played in the jv game, and the 4th quarter of the varsity game. It was a great first night for us." Friday night, we open our home schedule with Wabash.
