The Lady Braves and Oak Hill both came into the game on Tuesday night ranked in their classes top 10 defensively. And both teams played up to their defensive strength. But when it came down to the end of the game it was the lack of shooting on the Lady Braves that game Oak Hill the win 31-21. The Lady Braves struggled to score from inside 15 feet all night against Oak Hill's length and height. Oak Hill started to players at 5'11" and brought a 6'0" girl off the bench. The Lady Braves did a great job defensively on Oak Hill holding them 17 points under their average. Leading the way for the Lady Braves was Addie Maiben with 9 points, Ireland Kile with 6 points and 4 rebounds and Delaney Betzner with 6 points. Aubrey Kaiser did an outstanding job on defense holding Oak Hill's leading score to 3 points while grabbing 4 rebounds. Aubrey Stoll continued adding up steals on the season getting 4 steals. The Lady Braves also got solid defense from Averie Maiben, Kasey Murry and Gabby Griffis off the bench. On Tuesday night, the Lady Braves also had their "Staff Appreciation" night and honored some of the staff that has made an impact on their education career. The Lady Braves would like to thank Blended On Broadway (Peru) for donating gift certificates to the staff. The Lady Braves travel tonight to Tri-Central to try and get back on the winning road. Varsity game time is set for 6:30 pm.
