On a night when the Lady Braves set a school record for most three-point shots made by a team (with 11) and Delaney Betzner setting a school record of made 3FG by an individual (with 7), it came down to Carroll going 22-26 from the free throw line for 85%. Carroll came into the game shooting 57% from the foul line. Carroll came away with the win on their home court 62-53 in overtime. In the first quarter, both teams played well on offense, with the Lady Braves going 4 for 6 from behind the arch, and Carroll went 7 for 7 from the free throw line. to keep things tied going into the 2nd quarter at 13-13. In the 2nd Quarter, Carroll took advantage of their height and outscored the Lady Braves 14-9 to take a 27-22 lead at halftime. In the 3rd quarter, both teams played well on the offensive end of their court and the Lady Braves couldn't cut into the lead, with Carroll taking a 42-34 lead into the 4th quarter. In the 4th quarter, the Lady Braves turned up their full court defense and caused Carroll to turn the ball over 7 times that helped them take a 1-point lead with 2:00 minutes left in the game. The Lady Braves had good looks at the basket but it was Carroll that finished some of their shots. The Lady Braves found themselves down 50-47 with 25 seconds left when Coach Davis called timeout. The Lady Braves executed their inbounds play to Delaney Betzner, who hit a three-point shot with 17 seconds left to tie the game at 50-50. In the overtime it was the free throw shooting of Carroll that pulled the game away going 5-6 from the free throw line. The loss puts Maconaquah's record at 6-4 overall going into their game on Thursday against TRC foe, Peru. Game time is set for 7:30 pm at Peru.
