Boy's Varsity vs Lewis Cass Jr-Sr High School (126 - 47) Win. The boys are 6-0 going into Christmas break. They had a great meet last night. With finals today and them being able to leave school early, they really wanted practice off today. I told them before the meet started that if they had 17 best times, they could have it off. That pumped them up. They had 6 bests in the first event, Medley relay. They ended up with 23 bests on the night. Luke Abbott had two bests dropping 2 sec in the IM. Nicolas Hagen-Woller was 4/4 bests. He dropped 3.7 in 50 Breast, 1.3 in 50 Free, 3 sec in 100 Free, and .5 in relay 50 Free. P.J. Higgins is the Golden Goggle winner on the evening. P.J. has been struggling in the sprint events so I decided to try him at distance. I know he doesn't prefer to do those but he gives it his all to do what is best for the team. He dropped .5 in 200 free and 16 sec in 500 Free. Daylen Schrock had two best in 50 Back and 50 Free dropping 1.7. Camron Metcalf, who doesn't swim much in meets, had a great time in the 200 Free relay; dropping .8. Drake Samuel has been working his tail off in practice. He had a best in the 200 and dropped .5 in 200 Relay. Colton Beebe was out of his mind in the Medley Relay. His fly split was amazing and looked so smooth. He dropped 1.5 sec in the 50 Fly. Zach Duke had a best in the 50 Free and is so close to breaking 25 sec. Ethan Lee dropped 1.5 in 50 Fly and 3 sec in 100 Fly. Joel Loshnowsky dropped .2 in 50 Back and .4 in 50 Free. Aiden Ousley had a great race with Carter Armstrong from Cass in the 200 IM. Aiden was behind going into the last leg. He caught up but just got out touched. Aiden dropped 1.8. Trevor Shepherd continues to improve each meet. He dropped .9 in 50 Free and .6 in 100 Free. I am very proud of these guys and the work they are putting in.
