The Lady Braves will play tonight in the Beef 'O' Brady Miami County Tournament Championship (6:00 pm) against Peru after beating North Miami 42-39 in the semi-finals. The Lady Braves came out in the first quarter to took control of the game shooting 56% from the floor taking a 13-5 lead at the end of the quarter. Addie Maiben got the Lady Braves off to a fast start hitting her first two 3FG's of the game. It was the defense of the Lady Braves that set the tone from the beginning, holding the Lady Warriors to just one field goal in the first quarter. In the second quarter, both teams settled into what they want to do and each team scored 9 points a piece with the Lady Braves taking a 21-14 lead into halftime. In that quarter Addie Maiben and Ireland Kile both hit 3FG's and Kasey Murry had a 2FG. In the third quarter, the Lady Warriors were led by Laney Musall who scored 8 of her teams 10 points in the quarter. The Lady Braves got scoring from Aubrey Stoll and Delaney Betzner to help the Lady Braves take a 28-24 lead into the 4th quarter. The Lady Braves extended their lead in the final quarter up to as much as 11 points, but the Lady Warriors kept things interesting till the end. Aubrey Stoll scored 8 of her 15 points in the quarter and Delaney Betzner hit two free throws to put the Lady Braves up by 5 with less than 4 seconds left in the game. The Lady Braves led the whole game and got key contributions from their bench when called on. Kasey Murry, Avery Maiben and Gabby Griffis came in and helped with the defense and rebounding.
