Lady Braves Come up Short on the Road

The Lady Braves travel to Wabash to take on the Lady Apache’s, who came into the game with a record of 12-4 and came up short in a 38-56 loss. The Lady Braves started the game off strong winning the 1st quarter 14-12, hitting 4 three-point shots and causing 6 turnovers, and out rebounding Wabash 8-4. But it was the 2nd quarter where Wabash took the lead outscoring the Lady Braves, 13-4 to take a halftime lead of 25-18. The 2nd half saw Wabash extend their lead by going 12-17 from the free throw line and 8-20 from the field in the half, and the Lady Braves just couldn't cut into the lead. The Lady Braves were led by Delaney Betzner with 17 points and 7 rebounds, Ireland Kile had 11 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assist. Addie Maiben had 9 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Aubrey Stoll tied for leader in rebounds with 7 boards, she also had 7 assists on the night. Kasey Murry came off the bench and had 5 rebounds and 2 steals. On the night, the Lady Braves out rebounded Wabash 34-27, including 16 offensive boards, the led to 8 second chance points. They also had 11 assists on their 13 made field goals, that included 7 M3FG. The Lady Braves are home on Tuesday (1/14) against a good Pioneer team that is on a 9-game winning streak and 10 out of their last 11 games. That night also is the Lady Braves "Feeder System Night". The Future Lady Braves from grades 3,5,6,7 & 8 will be introduced at halftime. It's a varsity only game with a 6:30 tipoff.
