7/8BBB Advance to Final 4 of RRC Tourney

Both the 7th and 8th grade boys beat Lewis Cass on Tuesday night. The victories are their first in the end of the year Running River Conference Tournament and advance them to the RRC Final 4. The 7th grade won with a final score of 34-11, improving their overall record to 10-8 on the year. Gideon Pier led a balanced attack with 8 points, followed by Martin Chaires with 7, Jackson Betzner and Braxtyn Allen followed with 6, Wyatt Troyer with 3 and Layne Miller and Colt Johns each had 2. The 8th grade beat the Kings 45-29, improving to 16-2 on the year. The Kings put up a good fight and the game felt closer than what the final score shows. The boys were able to stick with it after a slow offensive start, and used a 3rd quarter surge to remove any doubts of victory. Scoring for the 8th grade: Levi Merritt (15 points), Evan Zeiser (11 points), Brayden Stamper (6 points), Caleb Barnett (5 points), Jaxon Cole (4 points), Colt Myers (2 points), and Diego Midence (2 points). The Braves head to Northfield on Saturday for the final gameday of the season, with the following schedule: 10 am - 7th Grade v Wabash 11 am - 8th Grade v Wabash Noon - 7th Grade Championship 1 pm - 8th Grade Championship
