Varsity vs Southwood Jr-Sr High School (75 - 78) Loss Coach Burrus Quotes"Tough loss for us against a good Southwood team. They were a lot to deal with for us. It hurt losing Josiah Ball to fouls but I really liked how our team battled without him. We were in a position to win but Southwood hit a tough three to force OT. Devon Murry, Fuddy Kile, and AJ Kelly all brought offense in the place of having our normal lineup in there. Fuddy Kile missed a triple double by 2 assists. He had 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists. Landon Adams had one of his best games with 9 points. AJ and Fuddy both battled the bigger kids for Southwood down low. This was a great game. Several lead changes, ties, and both teams looking to take control. Coach Perry, the Southwood coach did a great job keeping his team in the hunt. They made big plays when they needed. We did, too. I hated losing the game but really liked the heart our team played with throughout the game. We have a big week at Northfield, Tuesday. Then home vs Manchester on Friday. We close out the weekend at Plymouth. Tough week but we need this kind of week heading into the tournament in a couple of weeks."
