Varsity vs Manchester Jr-Sr High School (75 - 70) Win Coach Burrus Quotes: "What a night for Maconaquah. We found a way to get Manchester. Our kids were able to overcome a lot in this game. Playing without Josiah Ball and Fuddy Kile at different parts of the game was a lot to overcome. They both played key roles though to give us a chance to win. Fuddy Kile came back in for the 4th quarter and overtime with 4 fouls. He battled Gavin Betten down low and locked up the inside for us. Josiah Ball played very well but got some tough calls to end his night, early. He really pushed the pace at Manchester and ended with 28 points. Then there is AJ Kelly. He was just relentless. He guarded Betten, he ran the offense, he rebounded. He also found ways to score 25 points. What an effort by AJ. Landon Adams continues to play great defense and really played a great game helping with ball handling. Devon Murry had 14 points and really attacked the great Manchester defense. Murry has had a knack for big plays this year. He also hit the big free throws to seal the deal. Jack Gochenour got the layup to put us up 6 in overtime. I think every Brave fan will remember that moment. When Jack made that layup the level of noise in the gym was pretty wild at that point. Manchester had won 17 straight games. It was a win for the record books. We were so thankful for all the Mac fans that came out to the game. What an atmosphere for the players to get to play in. We have a huge home-court advantage here at Maconaquah. We appreciate the support you bring to our team. I will never forget this game. The kids won't either."
