Ethan Farnell and Austin Ringeisen travel to the IHSAA State Tournament in Indianapolis. This is the pinnacle of High School wrestling in Indiana. Indiana is not a class sport in individual wrestling, so these two men before the tournament were top 16 out of 422 individuals in their respective weight class. Austin fell short to make it to the second day finishing his epic career with a record of 130-26, qualifying for semi state 4 times and making in to State. Austin plans to continue his education and jump into the work force, and hopefully if we are lucky enough, come back and help coach some. Ethan made it to the second day and fell short in his semifinals match battling a knee injury. He wrestled in the 3 and 4 place match, and finished his career with a win, finishing 3rd place. Ending his career as a Brave Wrestler with a record of 157-19, qualifying for semi state 3 times, and state 2 times with a 4th place finish at 175 pounds and a 3rd place finish at 190 pounds. He plans to don the University of Indianapolis singlet next year and we wish him the best of luck! 190 - Ethan Farnell (50-1) placed 3rd and scored 16.0 team points. Champ.
