FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Lady Braves Fall to Golden Eagles in Hard-Fought Track and Field Meet [City, State] – April 11, 2025 – The Lady Braves track and field team faced a tough challenge against the Golden Eagles on Thursday, April 10th, ultimately falling short in the overall team score. Despite the loss, the Lady Braves showcased impressive individual performances and team spirit. Senior Lena Beachy soared to victory in the Pole Vault, demonstrating her skill and experience. The 4x800 Relay team, comprised of C. Jordan, L. Loshnowsky, S. Jones, and Z. Laber, also secured a decisive win, exhibiting exceptional teamwork and endurance. Junior Chloe Jordan delivered outstanding individual performances, claiming first place in both the 800-meter and 3200-meter races. Her determination and athleticism were evident throughout the meet. The Lady Braves also saw strong scoring performances from a number of other athletes. Desiriana Elliot contributed valuable points in the Shot Put, while Kiara Cox showcased her strength in the Discus. Molly Berryman demonstrated speed in the 200-meter dash, and Zoie Laber delivered a solid performance in the 400-meter. Delight Pier added to the team's score in the Pole Vault, and Ani Orisno displayed her hurdling skills in the 100-meter Hurdles. Eliana Montgomery also contributed to the team's total in the 400m dash. "While we did not walk away victorious, our ladies fought hard during their competitions. I could not be prouder of the hard work seen out on the track during our season opener," said Coach Simpson. "Lena, Chloe, and the 4x800 relay team had exceptional performances. We also saw many other ladies score for our team, and that is a testament to the depth of our team. We will learn from this meet and continue to work hard as we move forward." The Lady Braves will look to bounce back in their next meet on Tuesday, April 15 at Maconaquah Home Stadium.
