Maconaquah Women's Track and Field Soars to Victory Over Northwestern

[Bunker Hill, IN] – April 15, 2025 – The Maconaquah Women's Track and Field team celebrated a well-earned victory over Northwestern in their recent meet. The Lady Braves showcased their talent and teamwork, securing a victory against their competitors. The team demonstrated strength across various events, with notable performances that contributed to their win. Maconaquah victories were taken in long jump (Farnham, I.), the 4x8 relay ( Jordan, C., Loshnowsky, L., Jones, S., and Laber, Z. ), the 400 M ( Jordan,C.), the 4x1 relay (Osornio, M., Berryman, M., Farnham, I., Montgomery, E.), the 200 M (Berryman, M.). The distance squad proved to be a formidable force, leading the charge for the Lady Braves. Junior standout Chloe Jordan continued her impressive season, taking first place in the 3200-meter race, with teammate (Moeller) following in second place. The 800-meter race also saw a strong Maconaquah showing, with Z. Laber crossing the finish line first and S. Jones securing the second position. Beyond the stellar performances in the distance events and pole vault, the Lady Braves saw valuable contributions from a range of athletes who added crucial points to their victory over Northwestern. E. Montgomery showcased her speed and endurance, while M. McManus demonstrated her skill in the 1600. L. Loshnowsky contributed in the 300 hurdles and D. Elliot continued to be a force in the throwing events, taking second in shot and discus. Senior L. Beachy placed second in pole vault . J. Sullivan's efforts also earned points for the team, and Delight Pier added to the pole vault and hurdles point tally. A. Osornio rounded out the scoring members with her performance in the 110 hurdles. Their collective efforts across various disciplines highlighted the well-rounded strength of the Maconaquah Women's Track and Field team. The Lady Braves will look to carry this momentum into their upcoming meets, preparing for meets against Pioneer and large competition at Big Orange.
