The Braves were down 5-2 entering the top of the 7th. Jack Gochenhour led off the inning with an infield single. Chase Washburn followed with a single. Kobe Bowman then singled home Jack. Jordan Ellis entered the game to run for Chase. Deven Mitchell then singled home Ellis. Nate Rader pinch ran for Deven. Caiden Richards singled home Bowman. Adam Cannon stepped to the plate with two outs and ripped a 2 strike single to center to score Rader. Cohen Helmuth was hit by the next pitch giving the Braves 1st and 3rd with two outs. Cohen stole early casuing the pithcer to balk in Devon Murry from third who was running for Cannon which gave the Braves on 8-5 lead. In the bottom of the 7th, Helmuth toed the rubber with bases loaded and no one out and the Braves clinging to an 8-6 lead. Cohen got the batter to hit a hard ground ball to Mitchell at 3rd who stepped on 3rd and threw a strike across the diamond to Bennett Isenburg at first for the double play. Then Helmuth stuck out the next batter to give the Braves the 8-7 win. Maconaquah plays at Logansport against Northwestern on Thursday at 7pm.
