Boys' place 11th at the IHSAA Track and Field Regionals

The Boys' Track and Field team traveled to Lafayette Jefferson High School on Thursday evening to compete in the IHSAA Region 4 Track and Field meet. The Braves had 6 boys qualify for regionals in 8 events. The team placed 11th out of 27 regional schools. AJ Kelly was the only Maconaquah athlete to advance to the State Track and Field meet. Kelly qualified in two events, making this his 4th year in a row to attend the State Track and Field meet. AJ, in previous years, had qualified in the 400 meter dash, but this year he will be representing the Braves in both the 100 and 200 meter dash. Kelly also broke his own school record in the 200 meter dash with a 21.94, beating his previous record of 22.00. Kelly now holds school records in the 100m, 200m and 400m .
