Braves' Cross Country Teams Secure County Champ Status

In a dominant display of skill and teamwork, both the Maconaquah men’s and women’s cross country teams were crowned county champions at this year's Miami County Championships. The Braves' performance showcased the depth and strength of the program, with athletes from both teams sweeping the top individual spots. On the men's side, the Braves were led by a remarkable 1-2-3 finish. Joel Loshnowsky secured the individual County Champion title with a time of 17:50. He was followed closely by teammate Abel Robison, who took second place at 17:52, and Christian Collins in third with a time of 18:36. Other key contributors to the championship victory included Brantley Evans (19:37), Jacob Bowman (21:08), and Hunter Jenkins (25:24). The Lady Braves were equally impressive, claiming their own championship title. Chloe Jordan led the way, winning the individual County Champion title with a time of 20:13. She was followed by Zoie Laber, who placed second at 21:06. The team's strong showing was rounded out by Elaina Montgomery (23:10), June Schrock (23:35), Ellie Higgins (26:52), and Ily Berry (27:26). The double-championship victory is a testament to the dedication and hard work of every athlete on both teams. The Braves will now focus on preparing for the upcoming meet at Culver Academies on Saturday.
