Braves Cross Country Fights for TRC Rankings

North Manchester, IN – The Maconaquah Lady Braves Cross Country team delivered a strong performance at the Three Rivers Conference (TRC) Championships, securing an impressive third-place finish overall, thanks to leadership from their top seniors. Leading the charge was Senior Chloe Jordan, who earned a podium finish by placing third individually with an excellent time of 20:21. The team’s position was solidified by fellow Senior Zoie Laber, who placed 7th overall with a time of 21:18, demonstrating critical pack running to maintain the team's standing. The scoring effort was rounded out by determined performances from the rest of the varsity group: June Schrock finished with a time of 23:49. Elaina Montgomery finished just seconds behind, crossing the line at 23:55. Ily Berry helped secure the team total with a time of 26:28. The third-place finish in the highly competitive TRC marks a significant achievement for the Lady Braves as they build momentum heading into the IHSAA sectional tournament. The Maconaquah Men's Cross Country team competed hard in the highly competitive Three Rivers Conference (TRC) Championships, securing a sixth-place finish overall. The Braves displayed consistent effort, led by a strong pack of frontrunners. Joel Loshnowsky continued his strong season, leading the team and earning a top 20 finish with a time of 18:27. He was closely followed by teammates Christian Collins at 18:42 and Abel Robison at 18:58, who helped solidify the team's placement by keeping their scoring runners tightly grouped. Rounding out the varsity top five were: Brantley Evans: 20:25 Jacob Bowman: 21:46 Hunter Jenkins also contributed to the team's efforts with a time of 25:50. The Braves look to build on their TRC experience as they now turn their focus to the upcoming IHSAA sectional tournament, aiming for peak performances in the post-season.
