The Maconaquah Braves Cross Country teams had a successful outing at the IHSAA Sectional meet held at Logansport's course on Saturday, October 18. The competition was fierce, but both teams secured significant advancements, highlighting the depth and determination of the Maconaquah program. Lady Braves Secure Team Regional Berth The Lady Braves delivered an outstanding team performance, placing 4th overall. This strong finish earned the entire women’s team a highly coveted advancement to the IHSAA Regional meet.The team utilized smart running and consistent effort throughout the race to secure their top-five finish, ensuring their season continues for another week of post-season action. Men's Braves Advance Three Individuals The Men's Cross Country Team competed admirably in a challenging field, finishing 8th overall as a team. While missing team advancement, three key athletes secured individual qualifications for the Regional meet.The following athletes will represent Maconaquah at the Regional competition:Christian Collins, Joel Loshnowsky, and Abel Robison. Their strong finishes demonstrated outstanding individual effort and will keep the Braves represented at the next level of the state tournament. The Lady Braves team and the three qualifying men will travel to Brownsburg, Indiana next Saturday, October 25, to compete in the IHSAA Regional meet, striving for spots in the Semi-State competition.
